The Palace of Westminster – Furniture Contract for the Parliamentary Estate

Posted by NEJ Stevenson on 16th June 2010.

Following competitive tender, Rugby based bespoke furniture maker, N E J Stevenson Ltd has been appointed by the Palace of Westminster to provide replacement and new furniture, and a range of specialist joinery services for all its properties which include the House of Commons and the House of Lords for at least the next 3 years.

Managing Director, Neil Stevenson said:

“We are delighted to have been appointed as the approved craftsmen for all of the specialist work at one of Britain's greatest historic buildings. To be acknowledged by English Heritage, The National Trust, The Royal Household and now the Palace of Westminster for our design and manufacturing skills is a fantastic tribute to all the staff and the standards we have maintained over the last twenty-six years”.

In the wake of huge political change, this coup for NEJ Stevenson adds further credibility to the list of prestigious British properties that now include; Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, the Palace of Holyrood House, St James’s Palace, Eltham Palace and Dover Castle amongst others.
