Established in 1986 Clive Payne started making Windsor chairs using traditional methods and techniques, but was soon being asked to restore original Windsor chairs. Especially those with missing or broken bows. He then realized that he needed to expand into Furniture Restoration, again using traditional methods and techniques. Over the years Clive Payne has set out to achieve the very highest of standards in Restoration and Conservation. Clive Payne joined BAFRA (British Antique Furniture Restorers Association) in 1997, and now specializes in restoring oak and country furniture, from the 15th to the 18th century's, together with all furniture from from the early 18th - 19th centuries. Clive Payne has established himself as a professional restorer, and is happy to continue to explore new avenues of the trade, so that the furniture he restores, has the very best level of care and attention, whether it be a clean and wax, or a full overhaul.
