An introduction for anyone wanting an overview of Interior Design for their own period home projects. From early C16th to the 1960s, we can help you update your period home without falling into the trap of making it look like a museum!

Suitable for those with no prior experience as well as more seasoned period home owners.
This one day course will give you a fascinating insight into the process of Interior Designing for a period home so that you gain enough confidence to take effective decisions on your period home project and minimise expensive mistakes.

The workshop is a day of bite size lectures and advice on how to update a period home for today’s living requirements. You will learn how to plan a room layout and how to create a cohesive interior scheme, after developing ideas from a basic concept to a finished presentation board. Colour, texture, soft furnishing and lighting - ideas and tips as well as where to find those period fixtures and fittings.

This is a day to inspire, but to also focus your mind on how to achieve a successful period scheme without falling into a pastiche of period living.

You will be shown how to put your own sample board and mood board together which will help you pull together the design you want.

There are lots of opportunities for Q&A throughout the day and an Information Pack stuffed with useful information for you to take away.
