Historic Scotland are currently seeking an enthusiastic trainee to undertake a bursary placement dealing with ‘Winning and Working Angus Stone’ with a focus on drystone walling.

This is a practical, vocational work placement and basic tools skills


Description:

Historic Scotland are currently seeking an enthusiastic trainee to undertake a bursary placement dealing with ‘Winning and Working Angus Stone’. This is a post for 1 year, based with Denfind Stone in Monikie, Angus.

The role is an exciting opportunity to gain skills and practical work experience in drystone walling/masonry and preparation of stone. The Bursary holder would be expected to have some masonry/construction site experience and the ability to carry out physically demanding tasks.

A full driving licence would be desirable as the placement may be required to drive from time to time.

A tax free stipend of £14,500 per year will be offered. Applicants must be eligible to study in the UK at the time of application.
