About Us

The Institution of Structural Engineers is the world’s largest membership organisation dedicated to the art and science of structural engineering.

The Institution has over 23,000 members working in 105 countries around the world. The Institution is an internationally recognised source of expertise and information concerning all issues that involve structural engineering and public safety within the built environment.

The core work of the Institution is supporting and protecting the profession of structural engineering by upholding professional standards and acting as an international voice on behalf of structural engineers.
 

Literature

The Library supports members of the Institution by making information available on all aspects of structural engineering.

Our collection includes material from the 1700s to the present day. The online catalogue contains over 60,000 references and is growing daily.
 

Courses

IStructE provides a comprehensive programme of courses designed to enable members and non-members alike, working at all levels, to expand and reinforce their structural engineering knowledge, debate the results of new research, and to shape the future direction of the profession.
 

Events

Evening Meetings & Special Events are organised throughout the year.

Technical Meetings take place at 11 Upper Belgrave Street, London SW1 (020 7235 4535) unless stated otherwise. The meetings start at 18.00 with refreshments from 17.30 - there is no booking and they are free of charge to attend, unless stated otherwise.
