About
The Wood Protection Association provides:
■ Advice on selection of suitable wood species for different end-uses
■ Advice on selection of appropriate wood protection products
■ Specifications for high quality preservative treatments for all Use Classes
■ Specifications for flame retardant treatments
■ Information on suppliers of coatings, preservatives, flame retardants and wood treated with these products
■ Information on safe and effective use of all types of wood protection products and treated timber
Our mission is to achieve and promote clear understanding and leadership in the field of enhancing the durability and performance of wood and wood based panel products.
We aim to –
Add value to and confidence in wood as a constructional material
Increase the understanding of the benefits of wood protection
Defend existing and create new market opportunities for members
Be a focal point for information related to wood protection for members
The WPA operates with a management committee of members supported by an association secretariat.
