RamsDesign is small business by choice, which means that we are able to offer personal service to private and professional cliets alike. Furniture design and manufacture is what we do, as well as consultation on woodwork projects and problems, as wood is our passion.
Nathan Ramsden (company founder) has built up a wealth of experience having studied and worked in the furniture trade for the last 16 years. He studied firstly on a ‘furniture design and craftsmanship’ course which was at Rycotewood Furniture College, Thame (just outside Oxford). Then moved onto San Diego State University, USA to study on the masters degree course, both in the mid nineties. Working his way up from cabinetmaker to workshop manager and project manager in a small furniture business, he then found an opportunity to first set up a business a few years ago with a workshop near Cranleigh, Surrey, but now based at a workshop near Dorking, Surrey.
