Restored Railing (Short Hill)

Here are the staircase and railings at SHort Hill, Nottingham, after conservation. All the railings were dismantled and taken to the Cold Hanworth Forge workshops in order for repairs to be carried out. Marine grade stainless steel stubs were welded to replace the corroded feet. The railings were then re-leaded into sockets formed into new stone plinths. Cold Hanworth Forge gained an award by the Nottingham Civic Trust for their work at Short Hill, which took three months to complete."""
