A Work Of Art In Iron by Helen Proctor

Not so long ago the cast iron radiator was a dinosaur of the past, carelessly discarded to the scrap yard and replaced with a modern flat radiator. Sadly many of the original beautiful cast iron radiators have been destroyed and our heritage was so nearly extinguished forever. As old original radiators became more and more rare they became increasingly expensive and therefore were only available to a few. Paladin has tried to faithfully reproduce the remaining beautiful pieces of functional art and market them at a price that is more widely affordable.

Parks and Bandstands by Chris Topp

With the advent of the Heritage Lottery Fund many of our parks have received much needed attention and along with the park gates and fencing, many bandstands have been the subject of restoration projects.

Restoring Interior Woodwork by James Mott

Generally speaking, the standard of restored interiors of listed and period buildings in this county is shocking. Repairs are badly executed, the addition of new work is often ill conceived, mouldings reproduced to match originals do not, lost / damaged original ironmongery is replaced with inferior off the shelf products and finishes look as though they have come out of a treacle tin.........on the other hand....

The NHIG Launch at Hampton Court Palace by The National Heritage Ironwork Group

The 20th July 2010 saw the launch of the National Heritage Ironwork Group (NHIG). Hosted at Hampton Court Palace the event was a great success with an excellent attendance from many top UK blacksmiths and Heritage Organisations including The National Trust, English Heritage and Historic Royal Palaces.
